Zeus
Zeus created a barrier of clouds around a portion of his city in the sky, blocking vision to the outside world. The clouds always passed between city blocks - never through them - and formed a single closed loop, never intersecting itself, around all ten of the golden palaces.
The numbers on the map indicate the number of sides of each block that contain a barrier. Yellow blocks indicate palaces.
When the barrier was finished, those living in the palaces looked around them (but only in the four cardinal directions) to see what they could see.
